The revised annual growth achieved by the mining, manufacturing
and electricity sectors during April-March, 2007-08 was 5.1 per cent,
8.7 per cent and 6.4 per cent respectively as compared to 5.4 per cent,
12.5 per cent and 7.2 per cent during the corresponding period of last
year.
As per the use-based classification, the three use based
categories namely Basic goods, Intermediate goods and Consumer goods shown
on decline in April, 2008 compared to corresponding period of last year.
